Life drawing

At the risk of boring you all to death, here are a couple more life drawings, from Wednesday night's class ;-)

This first one is charcoal on newsprint, a 10-minute pose.

And next we have chalk on black sugar paper - this was a 30-minute pose, which I found really enjoyable. As you can see, I urgently need to work on facial features... and feet... and hands...

  1. You do fine with heads and it looks like you do fine with figure drawing as well. The facial features would have required more time--especially if you wanted to get a likeness to the model. Keep it up.

  2. Thanks Linda. I'm really enjoying the life drawing, but I think it might be nice if they weren't all faceless! I don't worry too much about facial features to be honest; as our tutor says, there are plenty of opportunities for drawing people's faces, but it's not often that you can draw a naked model, so make the most of it!
